Welcome!
Cambridge University Veterinary Zoological Society exists to allow University members to learn important and interesting information about exotic species. Exotics medicine is widely under-represented within vet schools and we would like to offer students the chance to learn useful information and to gain practical experience with these species. Our aim is to fuel interests and to assist those wanting to pursue a career in exotics medicine.
'Exotics' contains a wide range of species, from rabbits to rats to reptiles to lions, tigers and bears! Happily the vet school have now introduced an exotics course in the fourth year. Our talks will supplement this and our handling days will give practical experience to our members.
The committee this year are very dedicated to the improvement and expansion of CUVZS. We would like to increase the number of members within the society and provide even more exciting, interesting talks and events. Most of all, we hope that the talks and events we provide are enjoyed by all.
If you have any queries, please contact any of the committee.
