Cuppers 2000
Cuppers was held on 21 June 2000, two days after the end of the heat-wave that had swept the whole of the UK. The poor weather meant the number of teams entering was lower than in previous years and several colleges had to combine players to make a team, but the standard of volleyball played was arguably the best seen at college level for some time. Catz I were eventual winners, beating Robinson Condors in an enthralling semi-final before going on to beat hosts Jesus 2-1 in the final.
