At the age of 14, he joined a local team called VCV. His greatest achievement was being selected for the under-16s second Portuguese team, but he left before participating in any international competition due to school commitment. Through VCV he disputed several regional titles and participated in some matches for the National Cup. He has not played any volleyball since 2001 and this year marks the start of his comeback. He is one of the most talented players in UCCM without any doubt. His quick understanding in the playing of volleyball, huge jump and rather rounded skills have been invaluable to the success of UCCM. He will continue to be the key players of the team. He is the Captain of UCCM in the season 2008.
