The CUVC website was launched in May 1998 by Dan Escott and since then has grown to be one of the most comprehensive and popular student volleyball sites in the country. Although Dan is responsible for all the design and coding, nearly all of the content comes from the CUVC committee members, in particular Richard White, Jon Clarke and Pascale Garaud. The colourful match reports and player stats have drawn particular praise from outside the university, not to mention Richard's legendary volleyball glossary. Please note that all original material in this site is subject to the usual UK copyright laws, so you MUST seek our written permission before reproducing any part of it, other than for personal use.

Special thanks must go the the Student-Run Computing Facility (SRCF) who provide an excellent service free of charge without which much of the recent automation of this site would not be possible. The whole site uses PHP to generate the menu system and other included HTML. The search engine is based on the Digital Genesis script and the Photo Archive is based around PHPhotoalbum although has been heavily modified. The calendar, player database and match reports/stats use PHP and MySQL and are entirely home-grown.
