Cambridge Invitational 2003
Held on Saturday 3rd of May, the annual friendly competition between Cambridge, York and UEA trampoline clubs saw our team walking away with quite a few medals. All but one of them in fact!
In the novices, competition newcomer Alex Corbishley picked up the gold, while solid performances by Lisa Smyth and Lee Meakin earned them silver and bronze respectively.
The intermediate category saw (my nemesis) Rob McNeil take gold with routines of the high quality I'm sure you have all become accustomed to, silver and bronze going to Suzy Talbot and myself, James Barnard.
And finally, resplendent in shiny leotards, the advanced! Our own Andres Aramayo and Emily Manktelow walked away with bronze and silver, but after dazzling us all with a stunning voluntary routine consisting of more doubles than I can shake a stick at (and I'm pretty good at the old stick shaking) UEA's Georgie Hughes took the gold.
The event was promptly followed by the giving out of nice shiny medals, and a trip to a Pizza Hut!
