Cuppers 2004

Last Saturday, the 6th of March, saw this year's Cuppers competition take place. There were many colleges in attendance, six I think, and they were strongly represented by a total of eleven competitors. Okay, so it wasn't the biggest turn out for a competition ever, but that didn't stop it being a lot of fun!

The informal atmosphere and low pressure environment allowed for some less conventional vols, particularly in the intermediate category, which were generally met with success. Though no formal presentation was made, Sidney Sussex's team of Rob and Andres walked away with the overall title for the second year running. The individual categories where won by Andres in advanced, James in intermediate, and Amy in novice.

The event was slightly tarnished by an injury crisis in the Novice category, but Helen seemed to be alright after the competition, and is hopefully well on the way to recovery.
