CUTAZZ header



The term jazz dancing encompances a broad range of styles which originate in African vernacular dances brought over to America through the slave trade. Jazz is a fun and energetic style of dance which often reflects the popular music culture of given era. Popular features include the use of syncopated rhythm, leaps, kicks, step ball changes and improvisation.


Class Standards and Guidelines

Advanced:

  • Double/Triple Pirouette
  • Good understanding of terminology
  • Retain choreography
  • Mirror routines onto alternative side
  • Minimum of a year to 2 years of dance study
