STAR is a unique student-run society giving university students and young people the opportunity to:

• learn about and raise awareness of refugee issues in innovative ways;

• support refugees in the local community in a practical way through fundraising and volunteering;

• campaign for the rights of refugees everywhere.

Refugees and asylum seekers are a vulnerable group of people who often have a long and difficult struggle to secure their safety in another country. As people fleeing persecution, torture and prejudice they need and deserve our support.
