Welcome to CUSAGC

CUSAGCWelcome to the CUSAGC website!

Membership forms are available from the Forms and Documents page.

Whether you are a current member, a fogie (that's a past member), a potential member, or simply browsing, I hope that you find everything that you are looking for here. If not, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

CUSAGC (Cambridge University Scout and Guide Club) is unique amongst Cambridge societies in terms of the number and variety of events run for its members. We offer something for everyone. Adventurous activities, including walking, climbing, cycling, and kayaking; social activities, including lunches, formal halls, debates and cinema trips; and service events, Forward: an incident hike for Scout and Guides, BREAM/CubBAA: an activity day for Cubs, Brownies, Beavers and Rainbows and finally Marathon Challenge: a hike for Explorers, Senior Section and adults. Our example of our programme is available in the Programme section.

Unlike many Cambridge clubs, we do not shut down outside term-time. We run major trips (usually to somewhere hilly) in the Christmas, Easter and summer holidays. The club also owns some equipment (including its own punt), which is available to members.

There's no need to have any links to either Scouts or Guides before to get involved, you just need an interest in the things we do. That said, if you're interested in getting involved in a local Scout or Guide section then we have good links to local units and can help put you in touch and find one that fits in with you. Offers of help are always welcome, regular or occasional, experienced or eager to learn.

If you have any unanswered questions, would like to know more or are thinking of joining, then please contact me. Happy browsing!
