Peter joined the Royal Navy in February 2013 following a degree in Government and Politics from the University of Sussex. Following BRNC, Peter joined HMS DARING during her global deployment in Pearl Harbour, Hawaii and crossed the Pacific to Australia, via the Marshall Islands. In 2014 Peter joined HMS ENTERPRISE and deployed to the Mediterranean assisting in the evacuation of British Nationals from Tripoli, Libya to Valetta, Malta during the civil unrest of 2014. Peter’s next assignment was to HMS DAUNTLESS conducting UK running and operational sea training, including an Astro-Navigation passage to Ascension Island with MV HURST POINT, prior to returning to the UK to complete professional courses in 2015.

Peter joined HMS VENGEANCE during a major refit period in Plymouth. During this rewarding assignment, Peter earned the coveted dolphins and assisted in bringing VENGEANCE out of dry-dock. Following sea-trials, VENGEANCE deployed to the United States for a 6-month deployment which culminated in the firing test of at Trident II (D5) missile off the coast of Florida in 2016.

Following his time with VENGEANCE, Peter was selected to work within the SM Capability Delivery Team within NCHQ prior to assuming Command of Cambridge URNU in July 2017.

Once a keen rugby union player, Peter has represented Norfolk, Sussex and Eastern Counties, whilst also continuing a long held passion for skiing having represented Norfolk, Sussex and BRNC in alpine racing. Peter now lives in London with his partner and spends his spare time visiting the capitals offering of pubs and theatres.
