Cambridge Roots & Shoots - Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin Universities

Botanical Gardens

Jane Goodall’s firm belief that young people, when informed and empowered, when they realize that what they do truly makes a difference, can indeed change the world, is at the very heart of the Roots & Shoots program.

What's it all about?

The Cambridge University Botanical Gardens want to encourage children to learn outside the classroom, learning how to grow fruit, vegetables and herbs and learning to love the environment. The aim of the Schools' Garden project is to provide hands on horticultural experience for children visiting Cambridge University Botanic Garden (for further info see http://schoolsgardencubg.blogspot.com/ ).

Roots & Shoots members are welcome to participate to this project by working as volunteers for the Botanical Gardens. The work is very rewarding and educational!

If you are interested write us an e-mail at rootsandshoots@angliastudent.com and we will link you directly to the Botanical Gardens.
