Welcome to the Rambling Club

We are a friendly, informal society arranging walks around the local countryside every weekend, as well as regular social events.   Details of our forthcoming events are below and there is no need to sign up in advance to join a walk.   Your only expense is the bus or train fare to the start point for each ramble, plus our £1 annual membership fee.  New members are always made very welcome and you can join the club on any walk!

For walks that start from the train station, we meet just inside the main doors of the station by the ticket machines. For walks that start from the bus station, we meet at the corner of Drummer St and Emmanuel St.

We often stop at a village pub en route, but you should bring a packed lunch and a drink anyway.  Strong boots and waterproof clothing are highly recommended, particularly in the winter.

The rambling club organises an annual Easter Ramble and the Varsity March, an 81 mile, non-stop walk from Oxford to Cambridge! More information about these events can be found by clicking on the links on the left.
