The second round of Varsity matches were held at our own range, where we enjoyed victory in two of them. Congratulations to Holly Foster for gaining a half Blue in the Bentata with 191. Special congratulations go to the entire Kensington team for beating OURC's Heslop score of 1505.

Held at OURC's new range for the first time, this saw CUSBC put out an astonishing score, and is currently the highest on (any currently locatable) record for either team. Congratulations to Gaz Morris, Ed Dickson, James Diviney and Peter Brett for earning their first Half Blues.

CUSBC vs Imperial College London

Shot on Saturday the 4^th of November 2006

London fielded two teams of 6, so we took highest scores from each of our eight person teams. Both of our teams won, and the London 1^st team only beat our 2^nd team by 5 points!

The top scorer for Imperial was Tom Hunter with 193.

So unfortunately thats the end of us in that competition. (will post individuals' scores in the range). Incidently London & Newcastle were the 2 highest scoring teams and we would have beat 27 of the other 28 teams in the competition!

We are currently 3rd in the league, and are definately scoring well enough to stay there, so lets keep putting the effort into those cards and we could be on for a podium finish.

CUSBC vs Imperial College London

On Saturday the 6^th of November 2004, a team from Imperial College London came to shoot a match at our range in Cambridge. They were unable to arrange transport for their rifles, so shot using our kit. Considering this disadvantage, they put up a very respectable score. The Imperial team were very friendly, and we all had an ejoyable match (and an excellent formal that evening).

Nick Dehnel, now ex CUSBC, but a regular Cambridge shot until last year was passing through, and was kind enough to make up numbers, so Cambridge could enter three teams of 5. Imperial chose their best 5 of 7 scores.

On Saturday the 30^th of October 2004, CUSBC drove to Watford for a match against Watford & District RC. For many, this was their first outdoor shoot, and a few people had a go at the 50 and 100 yard targets, neither of which is usually shot by CUSBC.

The weather and welcome were both good, and everyone who went had a great day out. We look forward to more team matches in the future.
