A Happy Family
That is the basis of our theory for running the troupe. We are a member-oriented team of lion dancers. It doesn't matter if you are male or female, of Chinese descent or not, CULDT provides you with a great member-oriented environment to learn about lion-dancing and percussion-playing.
Side benefits of performing include free entries to various events, for instance May Balls, parties and stage shows. Performers at this year's Chinese New Year celebration were treated to a sumptuous dinner at Charlie Chan, an exclusive Chinese restaurant in Cambridge.

Training Sessions
For the new academic year of 2011/2012 we will be informing all our members and everyone on our mailing list once we have decided when training sessions will occur. This will usually be done after the Fresher's Fair on the 4th/5th of October.
We usually run weekly training sessions that last up to 2 hours. Our usually practice venue is Robinson College music room.
In our training sessions you will get to learn how to play the cymbals, the drum and lion dance. Sessions are always relaxed, informal and usually involved lots of food.
