On Saturday 20th February the Blues sought revenge over the previous night's defeat with a return match against the Dragons in Lea Valley. Despite being a second match in two days, the pace was fast in the first period. In two occasions the Dragons took the lead, but each time the Blues answered back with goals from Owen Randlett and Thomas Whillier.

The level of intensity increased in the second period. London took the lead early, but the Blues replied with two powerplay goals from Dan Tavana, making the score 4-3 for Cambridge. Despite many great saves from their goalie Carl Mazurek, Cambridge could not hold the lead for too long, with London scoring two goals on well prepared offensive plays. When London thought they had the momentum going on their side, Thomas Whillier managed to skate through the London defence and go in alone on the goalie to net his second goal of the night. At the end of the second period, the score was even at 5-5.

With the game hinging on the all important final period, the Blues came out of the blocks with a speed and intensity that took the Dragons by surprise. Pete Morelli took advantage of the London confusion to score his first goal of the game, giving a one goal lead to Cambridge. Unfortunately, the Blues were not able to contain the London offense that went on to score three unanswered goals to win the game 8-6. Despite these two unfortunate losses against a very capable London Dragons side, the Blues are now focused solely on next week's huge Varsity game against the Oxford Dark Blues, a game which pits two of the top University teams in the country against one another in what should be a hard fought, physical battle.
