SELECTION PROCEDURE: according to number and standard of applicants, the Committee will award Scholarships either basing the decision on the Application Form only or at a later stage from a number of pre-selected outstanding candidates. In this second case, candidates will be contacted and asked to attend a Conversation Evening before the end of Easter Term, where they will be questioned, then voting will take place to allocate Scholarships. In case of applicants with same level of selection criteria who attended different Society Spanish Lessons, one Scholarship for Beginners and one for Intermediate will be awarded. In order to ensure attendance of the Course, a deposit of £90 will be required from successful applicants, which will be given back at the beginning of Michaelmas Term (October) after showing an official certificate of attendance. If the number of applicants is sufficient, two reserve candidates will also be selected amongst those who did not receive the Scholarship, who will have to be available at short notice in case of illness or unforeseen circumstances preventing others to attend. In all cases the decision of the Committee is final.
