Animal of the Week

WB 8/12/02The victorious Ladies Varsity team!!
WB 2/12/02Claire Willer for taking Oxford by storm and winning the Women's race. James Sheehan, Tom Offord, Steve Benson and Tim Short are mentioned for their quality runs, but Claire beat them all.
WB 25/11/02Darren Talbot for a good run at Cuppers after a hard week on the south coast.
WB 18/11/02Si Rutherford for falling off his bike on the way back from Girton Formal Hall (?)
WB 11/11/02Ben Hope for his awesome performance over the Blues course. Special mention fo everyone who trained during the downpour on Thursday.
WB 4/11/02Emma Pooley, Anna Z-P and Claire Warner: those who braved (and survived the KIMM). Nominations for Emily (convincingly winning the Tri-match) and Ben Hope (first home for the CUH&H Men).
WB 27/10/02John Friedman for his performance in Madingley Relays.
WB 20/10/02Rachel Horn for amazing performances at triathlon and half-iron-man, shortly aftern returning from injury
WB 13/10/02Theo for racing the Cambidge 10km and FFR in the same day, after having submitted his thesis two days previously.
WB 23/09/02Si for his excellent animalistic behaviour on the traning camp, including not missing one running session or pub session. Karen's full motivation can be read here.
WB 13/05/02Emily for her 5km blues time after running positively and aggressively throughout the race, and making it to St. John's Porters' Lodge for the Sunday morning run. Ed's animalistic e-mail including his motivation, all the nominations and complete silence on Green's Theory on "the better athlete": click here.
WB 6/05/02Badders for his silver medal winning performance in BUSA, the fastest 1500m by a Cambridge runner (while at Cambridge).
WB 8/04/02The first AOTW under Captain Green is Satomi Miwa (8th April 2002). Many nominations this week, but I am sure all would agree that they were outdone by the efforts of Satomi, because she ran 26 miles 395 yards in 3.01.24 and finished 35th in the Ladies race. No big race build up, no big talk, just pure, unadulterated flair.
