Wanted: Experienced Hockey Coach for Cambridge University HC Men's Teams
Cambridge University Hockey Club is currently looking for a coach for its men's teams next season that would work with its men's teams, and help the 1st XI achieve promotion back into the National League. The successful candidate will be working with a group of players who are intelligent, energetic, and passionate about sport.
The men's club currently runs three teams, all playing within the East League, with the 1st XI finishing second last year in the Premiership A Division, all facilities are located in Central Cambridge.
The vacancy entails fully organising the coaching structure and training sessions for the men's squads over the pre-season period and during the main season, as well as coaching the 1st XI for matches on Saturday. The successful candidate will be required to run training sessions on Thursday evenings (7pm-9pm) and on Tuesday afternoons (provisionally 4pm-6pm); availability for Tuesday sessions is highly desirable, but not a necessary requirement.
Previous coaching experience is advantageous, however, applications will also be considered from candidates coming to the end of a playing career at a high level and wishing to enter coaching. Unfortunately, due to limits in the club's constitution, we can not employ a player/coach.
Remuneration is dependent on experience and is negotiable.
