12:05 Eoin Quinn - Towards a Covariant Entropy Bound
My talk will be on the notion of entropy bounds. I will begin by illustrating how Bekenstein first showed that the area scaling entropy of a black hole implies the entropy of matter in general is bounded. Then I will say a few words on how quantum effects alter this and perhaps take away the need for an entropy bound. Briefly I will discuss limitations of Bekenstein's bound and attempts to get a more general formulation. With that background I will then outline Bousso's covariant entropy conjecture, mentioning how it overcomes the limitations of other bounds and how its covariant formulation leads one directly to the holographic principle.
14:00 Bohshiang Jong - Algebraic Classification of the Weyl Tensor and Black Holes
I will talk about algebraic classification of the Weyl tensor in four dimensions. I will begin by introducing classification. Then I shall talk about some applications.
14:55 Mahdi Godazgar - Higher Dimensional Classification of the Weyl Tensor
I will talk about the higher dimensional classification of the weyl tensor as set out by Coley et al and just basically describe how its done.
