The Project
计划
The plan is to bring fourteen student "teachers" from Cambridge to run a mathematics summer school at Linyi Normal University for advanced (final year and Masters) students from universities in Shandong Province.
十五名来自剑桥大学的学生将到临沂师范学院举办数学暑期学校。学员对象为山东省各大学的高年级本科生和研究生。
The Aims
目标
- to give students in Shandong the experience of the student-led seminars which are so much a part of our mathematical life here in Cambridge,
-to stimulate a research culture within Shandong Province,
-to encourage networking both between UK students and Shandong students, and amongst Shandong students,
-for our Asian students, to explore means of serving their home countries even while they are studying/working abroad,
-for our Western students, to give them an experience of life at Chinese universities.
-为山东学生提供参加学生讨论课的经验，这是剑桥数学文化的重要部分。
-促进山东省的学术研究氛围。
-鼓励英国学生与山东学生，和山东学生间的交流。
-为剑桥大学的中国学生提供为祖国服务的渠道。
-为剑桥大学的西方学生提供在中国大学生活的经历。

June 29: Main group of Cambridge students arrives in Beijing. Transfer to Linyi.
6月29日：剑桥学生大部到达北京，转程临沂。
30 June - 8 July: Introduction to Chinese Language and Culture for Western Cambridge students.
6月29日 - 7月8日：剑桥学生学习中国语言与文化。
9 - 12: July Summer School lectures.
7月9日 - 7月12日：数学暑期学校课程。
13 July: Preparation for the Presentation Day.
7月13日：为发表日做准备。
14 July: Presentation of projects. Students who have taken part in the courses will have the opportunity to present small projects to their colleagues and their teachers.
7月14日：课题发表。学生可根据所上过的课程做小课题，并向师生发表。
15 July: Review. The Cambridge students will meet with the group leaders and members of the mathematics department to discuss how the project might be carried forward.
7月15日：回顾。剑桥学生将与组长和数学系人员讨论未来如何推进这项活动。
