About Friends of MSF

The first Friends of MSF group was started up in 2004-05 by a few students looking for ways to get more involved in humanitarian campaigns and to support MSF’s work whilst still at university. Friends of MSF comprises a growing network of student groups throughout the UK and Ireland and is recognized by MSF as its official student support organization.

About Cambridge University Friends of MSF

Cambridge University FoMSF was begun by a handful of medics in 2009.

Our aims are:

  1. To encourage students to consider working for non-governmental organizations such as MSF in the future.
  2. To promote awareness of MSF, their work in the field, their campaigns, and issues important to international humanitarianism more generally.
  3. To raise money for MSF’s general work and their specific campaigns.

Our committee work hard to achieve these aims by organising a variety of informational and fundraising events in and around Cambridge. We also provide a number of resources for students, both online and in the FoMSF library housed in the International Studies Library

We are constantly improving and growing as a society. To continue to thrive, we rely on your feedback and your ideas, so if you have been to any of our events or read any of our resources and would like to make suggestions or comments, there is space for you to do so here. We welcome your thoughts.

If you are interested in joining Cambridge University Friends of MSF or coming along to any of our events, you would be most welcome. We hope you will find all the information you need on this website. However, if you have any questions or would like further information then please do not hesitate to contact us
