CUSU Anti-Racism Campaign
The Anti-Racism Campaign established Cambridge University Faiths Forum in 2005, and it became an official society in 2006. In a time where there is a national trend of increased racial and religious tensions on campuses, the Anti-Racism Campaign saw that establishing a discussion forum for the religious societies within the university as an important and progressive move. CUFF exists to enable people of all religions (or no religion) to learn about one another, thus fighting dangerous prejudices and assumptions that lead to tensions between communities on campus. By learning about one another, speaking out against racism and ignorance and by responding to incidents of racism and religious tolerance, we can create the educated and tolerant community in which we would like to live. |
