Welcome to the website of Cambridge University Engineering Society

Message from the Chair

Founded over a hundred years ago, the Cambridge University Engineering Society (CUES) is a well established institution linking students from all across the different science and engineering disciplines to industry. We conduct a broad range of activities, from our Annual Careers Fair, to lunchtime talks, and a termly magazine, all in conjunction with some of the most successful firms in the engineering industry, enabling students to find out more about developments in technology and providing them with information about careers opportunities.

This year we hope to continue with the great work accomplished by the committee last year and have some ambitious events lined up, kicking off with our Annual Garden Party and a site visit to London's Science Museum in collaboration with BP. As usual we will be hosting our ever-popular lunchtime talks in the Department, regular formals and socials, and the hugely successful Careers Fair. All of our events are open to both non-engineers as well as engineers, so if you're a PhysNatsci looking for employment in industry, or an Economist with a spare hour and an interest in sustainability, you're more than welcome to come along to any of our events!

If you would like to know more about the Society and our activities, please don't hesitate to contact me or any of the other committee members — we would love to hear from you!
