The Society
The Cambridge University Duke of Edinburgh Award Society (CUDEAS) gives guidance and encouragement to participants whilst they are completing the award programme. It exists to assist its members in completing all sections of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. The Society organises training for expeditions, beginning in Michaelmas term. Expeditions are then undertaken later in the year. The Society has details of various activities which can be undertaken for the other sections of the Award and acts as a link to the local Operating Authority. The Committee members are either completing or have completed their Gold Award, and they are all able to provide support to anyone involved with DofE. Don't hesitate to contact any one of us if you have any problems or questions. To start participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award, an Entrance Pack is needed which contains the all-important Record Book. This can be obtained by filling in the online form on the Contact page, or by contacting the President. If you would like to get involved with running the society then you can contact any of the Committee members. CUDEAS also arranges several social events every term, which anyone involved in the Award is very welcome to come along to - they have been very enjoyable experiences in the past! See the Social section for more details. |
