Physical Recreation Section

The aim of the Physical Recreation Section is to encourage participation and improvement in physical activity. This section offers a wide range of programmes in the belief that involvement in some form of enjoyable physical activity is essential for physical well-being and can give a lasting sense of achievement and satisfaction.

Requirements:

In this section you are required to participate in a physical activity and show progression and achievement over a period of time. There are 3 stages in the Physical Recreation Section:

  • Initial Briefing: The period of involvement should start with an intial briefing with an appropriate instructor / mentor / supervisor
  • Monitoring Progress: Goals and progress should be monitored at periodic intervals throughout the duration of the activity and revised accordingly.
  • Final Review: The skills, progress and quality of experience are reviewed prior to you and the assessor completing your Record Book.

Suitable physical activities include: aerobics, badminton, cricket, fives, lacrosse, skiing, walking, yoga and many others.
