Cambridge University Duke of Edinburgh Award Society
The Award

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a balanced, non-competitive programme of voluntary activities which encourages responsibility, self-reliance, personal discovery and perseverance. However, although the Awards can be challenging, the most important aspect is that everyone finds participation in the programme enjoyable, exciting and satisfying.

There are three levels of Award - Bronze, Silver and Gold. Participants can join the programme at any level. For each Award there are a number of requirements which must be fulfilled - Service, Expeditions, Skills, Physical Recreation, and for the Gold Award a Residential Project as well.
