The President reported to CUCPS as follows: Since the last AGM, CUCPS has had five talks by four different speakers, two of the speakers being from the USA. We have gained nineteen new members, bringing our total membership to ninety-two decimal. Many of these members joined on collecting equipment we were distributing that we had been given by the Medical Research Council Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit (formerly Applied Psychology Unit, MPC-APU); we still have much equipment from them available to distribute, and lists of some of it are now on our website. We had a presence at the Societies Fair and a joint CUCS/CUCPS/SRCF squash, and gained seven new members at these events. Membership cards have not been being produced during the year, but we hope that a new Junior Treasurer may be interested in restarting their production. There were no questions on this report. 4) Election of officers. No advance nominations had been received by the Secretary. Nominations were taken at the meeting, and for each post except Secretary exactly one person was nominated and seconded and so was appointed unopposed; for Secretary there were no nominations so Simon Frankau remained as Secretary: sgf22 was nominated for President by jsm28 and seconded by ard12. There were no nominations for Secretary. wrs23 was nominated for Publicity Officer by jsm28 and seconded by ard12. wrs23 was nominated for Junior Treasurer by jsm28 and seconded by ard12. 5) Discussion on co-operation with other computing societies. This was informally discussed. 6) Any Other Business. There was none.
