On the Monday of May Week 2007 over 100 Chemical Engineers and their guests descended on Churchill College Sports Grounds to enjoy the annual BBQ Garden Party hosted by CUCES. Good food and drink were enjoyed by all with the entertainment coming from the 5-a-side football tournament featuring 8 Chemical Engineering teams from the department.

The Tournament was run in knockout style fashion with the final featuring the 'Mike Goodson' team at his last CUCES BBQ. Goalless at full time the match was finally decided by penalties. The heroic winners were the "Goodson 5", and were presented with the trophy which was specially made by the workshop.

Drinks alcoholic and soft were available including a keg from the Milton Brewery, the venue of a trip earlier in the term. Fun was had by all on a (mostly) sunny June afternoon. Thanks to all those who helped and attended. Keep an eye out for the next Summer BBQ in June 2008!
