Thanks for deciding to join - hope you have a great time paddling with us. You can join in 4 easy steps:

1. Print off a membership form - available as a word file here, fill it in

2.We do our best to make canoeing in the club as safe as it can be. However, you should be aware of the hazards. Take time to read our safety policy, risk assessment and note on Weil's disease. We've tried our best to make this tedious paperwork as concise as possible.

3. Write a cheque to "CU Canoe Club" for the correct amount and write your name on the back. Current fees are:

4. Get your completed form and cheque to the treasurer- currently Pete Hatfield, St. John's College, along with the appropriate membership fee. Use University mail, pigeon hole him or find him (or any committee member) at a pub meet

Last thing - a note about what we'll do with the information you provide us. The medical information on the form will be checked briefly when you join the club. If we believe that a medical condition will affect your participation or safety, we'll discuss it with you and try our best to ensure that it won't be a problem. The forms are then kept securely and the medical information will only be looked at in an emergency. It is thus essential that you inform your group leader of any relevant medical conditions every time you get on the water. They will treat any information you give them sensitively and in confidence.
