Romans 15:5-6 Dear All, On behalf of Christians in Unity in Cambridge, I invite you to the final in our series of three panel led discussion groups... The Topic: "Being Christians with a context" How does the place we live influence how we 'do' our faith? How do we deal with scripture that comes from an alien context? How do we build an identity for ourselves as Christians? The Details: Date: Thursday 16th November. Time: Arrive from 7:30, for a prompt 8pm start. Venue: Cambridge Wesley Methodist Church* Panellists: Rev Dr Peter Graves Rev Peter Wood The evening will begin with a time for our Panellists to share their thoughts the evening's topic. Peter Grave will talk about the effect of context on the writing and our reading of scripture and his experiences leading a church group in Cambridge. Peter Wood will be commenting establishing a church identity in a new place (i.e. Cambourne [www.cambourne-vistas.co.uk/]) and his experience abroad. Following this there will be a time for response and discussion amongst all present. Please come either just to listen, or both to listen and speak. We anticipate that the more formal part of the evening will conclude at around 9:30pm, giving time for further conversation and fellowship over refreshments to be served afterwards. We hope that you are able to attend, Yours, Will Carroll.
