Apologies for Absence and Notifications of Any Other Buisiness were given.

The Minutes of the Last Meeting were read and the following Matters Arose:

• Carys has replied to CICCU's letter;
• Kelly's friend involved with Christian Union declined to attend the meeting, being uneasy of how this might be interpreted and unsure of an official CICCU position; Simon has not yet met UCCF worker, but will do so.
• A retiring collection at the Unity Service raised £30, to be divided 15/15 between Christian Aid and a donation to Wesley church for the use of the building;
• Steven Cooper had not been made aware he had been asked to approach the Archbishop of Canterbury about 2005's Unity Service; he will now do so.

 Society Plans

• Taizé - as last term;
• CCMS will "almost certainly" be producing a May Week show, a musical in the style of a Greek tragedy, on 17^th June.
• Ark - two dramas planned so far this term, one as part of a church service, the other for CGS.
• MethSoc - the usual programme of speaker meetings, studies, and social activies.
  Of particular ecumenical interest might be the speaker on 13^th June, the Rev'd Bill Croft, one of the committee which drew up the Anglican-Methodist Covenant.

 Punt race

To be held on Saturday 12^th June; "Bring and Share" picnic on the grass by the Mill from 1pm, followed by the race at 2pm. Full details to be discussed nearer the time.

 Ceilidh

It was agreed that the prospective ecumenical ceilidh was to be an SCC event.

A date/time/venue were agreed - Friday 14^th May, 8pm, either Fisher House or Parkside. Kelly to speak to Fisher House chaplains about using the building.

Kelly has found contact details for bands; Clare to find out if they are available and how much they would charge.

Another meeting to be held soon to make further arrangements.

All reps to promote the event to their societies.

 Publicity

Steven Cooper to revise and combine this term the SCC's Church and Society Guides.
Chris to tell people where to find them online;

Kelly to contact the St Thomas Aquinas discussion groups, and Carys to contact Christians in Science, about including their events in the Guide;

Geoff to contact CUSU about the SCC directory listing, Freshers' Fair, etc; also to find out from Josh what CUSU have about including 'religious information' in the CUSU fresher pack. Steven to get completed Guide to Geoff to show to CUSU.

Attempts to be made to (re-)contact as many groups as possible:

• Kelly to contact Young Friends (Quaker);
• Carys - CGS and Lutherans;
• Chris - URC;
• Simon - Orthodox.

Other ideas for revitalising the SCC were considered, such as opening SCC meetings to individuals, and revisiting the idea of a Squash or other freshers' event. To be discussed more at a later meeting.

 Any Other Business

• SCC Football - Tuesday 15^th June, food at 1pm followed by football. Venue and other details TBA.
• Unity24 and another Church Crawl considered as possible events - to be discussed at a later meeting;
• Geoff to e-mail list to ask about Christian Gap Year databases, or the lack thereof;
• Geoff to contact Josh about accounts;
• Steven and Clare to be added to appropriate e-mail lists.

 Date of next meeting

A meeting to be held at 8.30pm on Tuesday 27^th April in Fisher House, primarily to discuss arrangement for the Ceilidh.
