About CUAS

Cambridge University Air Squadron (CUAS) was founded in 1925 and is the oldest of the 14 University Air Squadrons. Its role is to provide flying training to all its members, as well as leadership training, personal development, and much more.

CUAS has its Town Headquarters (THQ) close to central Cambridge. Its flying headquarters are located at Royal Air Force Wyton near Huntingdon, where the shared fleet of aircraft is based. CUAS is made up of 7 staff (2 flying instructors, a ground training instructor, an adjudant based at our town headquarters, and his three support staff) and approximately 55 undergraduate members.

Members of the squadron participate in many activities in addition to flying, including sport, adventure training expeditions and Squadron social events. Social events include the Annual Dinner, Christmas Draw, and Summer Ball.

To find out more about the what we do, either navigate around this site or contact a member of staff at our town headquarters.
