I am writing to you as a keen supporter of the Jubilee Debt Campaign, which is continuing to press for the cancellation of the debts owed by the world’s poorest countries. The World Development Movement, partners of the Jubilee Debt Campaign have recently proposed early day motion number 736 on debt. Nearly two thousand people signed the recent paper chain petition in Cambridge calling for more action on debt. If you have not already done so, I urge you to sign this EDM and become an active member of the All Party Group of MPs on Debt. This would seem an ideal way for MPs to co-operate on such an important world issue. Why are over a billion people "Still Waiting for Jubilee" despite the promises made in 1999?
