Jesus Christ asked his contemporaries, 'Who do you say I am?' His amazing life, barbaric death and miraculous return from the dead convinced those closest to him of the truth of his claim: that he was God. This is great news - because it means he can provide the great things he promises.
Revelation is being put on by the Cambridge Inter-Collegiate Christian Union to present Jesus' claims to the University through a series of events with invited speakers in the Guildhall and Colleges.
Rico Tice will look at the implications of Jesus' remarkable words and actions, as recorded by his contemporary Mark, drawing on his experiences working for a large church in London and considering the attitudes expressed in popular culture. Rico will seek to show the nature of the truth revealed in Jesus in today's terms (there will even be film clips!).
From the previous week, speakers at lunchtime events will counter the belief that Christianity is an outmoded idea.
We are giving a copy of Mark's account to every undergraduate. If yours
does not reach you by the beginning of revelation, why not let us know?
The Bible, which contains Mark's record, says that each person's response to God is the biggest decision of their life. We think revelation will be a fantastic opportunity for students to consider their response. We hope that by 17th February you agree.
