Churchill College Table Tennis Club
The Churchill College Table Tennis Club caters for those of all abilities, from the complete beginner to more serious players. Similar to many other sports clubs within Churchill, we have our own facilities on-site, so you don't have to go very far if you wish to play!
We currently have two tables situated in the squash courts, for use at any time (although we are working on getting a third, since one of the tables is a bit worse-for-wear). All you need to do is get the table tennis keys from the porters in exchange for giving them your university card as a deposit. These open up a locker in the squash courts where you'll find bats, balls and nets you can use. During busy periods you may also want to book the courts in advance (there's a clipboard with times available in the p'lodge - just write your name in the required slot there).
Practises are currently held once per week, although this can be changed if we gain sufficient interest or we end up with too many people for just one session. Other than this, the mailing list can be sent to by any member so if you want a game just e-mail the list asking who's about.
For those who are interested in playing for the college, matches are held once per week, some at home, some away. Scorecards are available to print here, or some should be available in my (Ben Roberts - with a white label, not Mr. B Roberts, with a blue label!) or Kashi's pigeon hole if you can't access a printer. These are more for convenience rather than necessity - just fill them in and pop them back in Kashi's pigeon hole after the match, they should be self-explanatory.
There is also a college ladder, available to anyone who's interested (simply sign up on that page).
If you're interested in playing but haven't yet signed up, let me (bgr25) or Kashi (kdg24) know and we'll add you to the list. If you've already signed up, then go and get all your friends to join.
