The Dragon is the annual magazine of Cambridge University Chess Club. The editors for 2007-2008 are Chris McGeever and Mahiben Marathappu. The magazine contains a variety of articles written by both current and former members of the club. These include reports on national and university events (including one on the annual Varsity Match), a regular studies column by GM Jonathan Mestel, annotations from a variety of international players, opening ideas, book reviews and humorous articles.
Dragon is free for members of CUCC; current subscription rates for non-members are £10 for four issues, £5.50 for two or £3 each. These prices include postage and packaging within the UK. If you would like to subscribe please send a cheque for the relevant amount (payable to Cambridge University Chess Club) to one of the editors, letting us know your postal and e-mail addresses.
