- Scriptwriting Competition
§ 'Change the World', by Naoki Matsuyama was voted the winner.
§ We should meet the writer and be sure of his involvement in the filming.
§ Meg Blight will act as executive producer for the film.
§ The producer will draw up a budget for the film and present this to Meg for
funding to be decided.
§ Cinecam will play a substantial role in the making of the film.
§ If it becomes impossible to make 'Change the World' this term, we will put forward
the proposal that 'Lovesick', by Olly Riley-Smith, be made next term. This will be up
to the new committee to decide.
- Festival
§ If the festival managers manage to get sponsorship for
the festival, they will get 5,000 black and white flyers for £120.
§ Agreed that the posters should be either b/w or b/w
with one other colour.
- Editing Facilities
§ In order to gain access to editing software we need to
prove to the Computing Service that the software will be used. This would involve another
Apple-sponsored competition or similar and people logging the hours they spent using the
editing software.
- Buying Equipment
Boom bought for £120.
- Brickhouse Collaboration
We are considering entering into a long-term plan to buy a professional
standard camera for £3000. If this is to go ahead, it would involve fund-raising, a
Brickhouse donation of £1000 minimum and funding from the University.
- Website
A more detailed and up-to-date description of the Cinecam cameras and equipment
will go on the website.
