SUMMARY OF MINUTES FROM MEETING ON 22/02/07

- AGM
We will hold our AGM at 8pm on Tuesday 13th March.
- Festival
§ Josh's Scriptwriting Talk will be replaced by the
Editing Talk postponed from earlier this term. (The Scriptwriting Talk will be rescheduled.)
It is too late to change the publicity now but we will announce the alteration via the
email list and the website.
§ We will try to arrange a free meal for the
judges and festival managers at a restaurant in Cambridge.
§ There will be a current tv event on 5th March after
the Festival at 6.30pm at the Graduate Union. We can publicise this at Festival events.
- Finances
§ Chris and Brian are in the process of setting up a
new bank account and should complete this in the next week.
- King's Affair Competition
King's Affair might run a competition for short films on the theme
'Aftermath'. The winner will
probably get tickets as a prize. Brian will email the list with the information when
the King's people send it to him.
- Cinecam - SocDocSoc Proposal
Cinecam and SocDocSoc will probably collaborate on an event next term. Chris, Salih
and anyone who will be on the committee next term can meet with SocDocSoc to discuss
the details.
- Suggestions from Thierry
§ Thierry would like to show a film at the Festival
and do a short talk. We will email him about holding a separate event Sunday 11th March.
§ He also asked if the next committee will be doing
Straight 8. We will pass this question on to them.
- Cinecam Film
§ Chris and Salih will be executive producers.
§ We need to select a team to work on the film. Chris
and Salih will interview people for this.
§ We will advertise details on the website.
