SUMMARY OF MINUTES FROM MEETING ON 17/01/06

- Scriptwriting Competition
§ Decided that the competition will be judged by committee
discussion and vote. Criteria will include affordability and general practicality - namely,
that it should be possible to carry out all filming in Cambridge
§ The winner will be announced via e-mail.
§ We will advertise for director, producer, camera, sound and editor.
- Tuesday Screenings
§ Jenny has booked the Froud Room at New Hall for the screenings.
§ Screenings will commence on 24th January with Cinema 16 Shorts.
§ Two committee members should attend each week and someone will
need to bring a laptop, as the Froud Room has no DVD-player.
- Filmcraft Workshop
§ Rooms gr06/07 in the English Faculty have been booked 5.30-7pm
on 26th January, when Meg or Henry will give the talk.
§ The event will be members-only and free.
- Festival
§ The Bateman Auditorium, Caius has been booked for the
Reparatory Night on 13th March. This will provisionally be held at 8pm.
§ The Fitzpatrick Theatre, Queens' has been booked for the
Festival Screening on 12th March. This will provisionally be at 7.30pm.
§ We will charge £5, £3 and £0 respectively to
non-members, half-members and members for entering the competition. Entry to the screening will
be £4, £2 and £0 respectively as above.
§ We will need £200 to cover the cost of dinner for the judges.
We have yet to select the restaurant.
- Committee Posts
Lucia will fill in as Secretary, rather than readvertising this post for
just 2 months' duration.
