SUMMARY OF MINUTES FROM MEETING ON 15/11/06

- 48-Hour Film Challenge
§ Final Cut Access Apart from the facilities
that Apple are providing, computer 25 in the Balfour Room has Final Cut Studio and
computer 8 has Final Cut Express. (Mac 1 in the Oriental Studies Basement
and Mac 1 in the Phoenix User Area also have Final Cut Express.)
§ Tapes Kirsty will buy tapes for the
event and be reimbursed via Chris.
§ Screening The Soc Doc Soc Documentary
will be shown after the screening while the judges deliberate. The date of the
screening has been moved to Saturday 25th November and no room has been booked as yet.
- Finance
§ Takings Money collected this term was
handed over to Chris. Kirsty will provide him with a breakdown of our activities so
far, including membership records, and Chris will check that everything tallies
financially.
§ Reimbursement Bella has requested
reimbursement for printer ink used when printing out various Cinecam documents and
the committee agreed that this is fair. She will look into the cost of a new cartridge.
- Events
As the committee expects to be using Keynes Hall
regularly, Kirsty has offered to seek training in the use of the projector booth
equipment.
- Membership Cards
Rachel will take responsibility for issuing membership cards from here on in .
- Downing Ball Film
Bella, Kirsty, Rachel and Chris have shown interest
in taking on this project. The spec is for a silent film with an eerie/horror feel on
a Celtic theme. Bella will find out if there is any possibility of funding from the Ball
Committee.
- Next Meeting
There will be a committee meeting before Josh's talk this Friday (17th) at 5.30 in
King's Bar.
