THE JUDGES
Franz Von Habsburg
Franz is the head of the
Brighton Film School and a judge for BAFTA. He has kindly donated a place
on the
Brighton Film School's summer course as a prize.
Toby MacDonald
Toby is a director whose first short Je t'aime John Wayne won the TCM prize at
the London Film Festival in 2000 and best short film at the European Film Awards in 2001.
Charlie Phillips
Charlie is editor of FourDocs, the online
documentary website, as well as a filmmaker and curator of radical and
avant garde arts events in London. His recent Super8 film was screened
at a film festival in Texas.
Pippa Rimmer
Pippa is Head of Exhibitions at Future Shorts.
In that capacity, she is responsible for all the UK and international short film
screenings and events which take place on the Future Shorts network each month. The
network is rapidly expanding, reaching places as diverse as Venezuela and Kazakhstan, while
Cambridge has always maintained a strong following. A part-time filmmaker herself, Pippa is
delighted to be on the panel of the Cinecam festival.
Josh Newman
Josh is the managing director of Red Brick Pictures, a video and new
media company that works to promote community and charity causes as
well as developing narrative features and shorts. Red Brick is
currently working with a school, a religious organization and the BBC.
Josh also works as a promo producer for CNBC Europe, and continues to
work making short films. He is also developing two features set in
the east: one in Cambridge, and the other in Israel and Palestine.
