EU Enlargement anniversary party

Date: Saturday 30 April 2005
Venue: New Cellars, Pembroke College

8–12pm.

A year ago old good European Union joined Central Europe. It's difficult to believe it's been already a year, since the sounds of celebrations, ‚Te Deum‘, bell ringing, tinkling of champagne glasses and choral singing of the ‚Ode to Joy‘ still echo in our minds, yet it's true.

To commemorate this momentous event a massive party was launched with over 20 different kinds of vodka, wine, beer and soft drinks, central European cakes and sandwiches, music from central Europe and the usual atmosphere of informal rejoicing.
