The Bene't Club

The Bene't Club is the music society of Corpus Christi College, and exists to serve the musical interests of every member of college from the moment they arrive. With members being drawn from both the under-graduate and post-graduate student bodies as well as from the Fellowship, the Bene't Club encompasses a diverse musical community within what is a small and friendly college, as well as providing plenty of opportunities to meet musicians from across the University.

The Bene't club organises a large variety of events covering a broad range of music, in most terms, you can expect to find:

An end of term concert
These normally feature the Bene't club orchestra, the chapel choir, the and another item or two of a different flavour.
Lunchtime recitals
Usually on Wednesdays there is a short half-hour recital given by one of the many musicians studying at Cambridge.
Bar evenings
There are often a few bar-based events each term, including Open-Mic nights, and Blues, Jazz, or Accoustic evenings.
Master's lodge concert
These are informal concerts that take place roughly termly in the Master's lodge which all college members are very welcome to offer both as performers and audience. There tends to be a good mix of styles of music on offer.

Everyone is encouraged to join in with all of these events, we are always in particular need of musicians to play in the Orchestra, but offers to perform at any event will be warmly recieved; please contact Georgina Eliot
