Club membership is open to anyone from Catz, any level! We will be at the freshers fair at the start of Michaelmas (in the main hall at Catz) to welcome any new members, but feel free to contact the captains any time during the year. And membership is FREE :)

A bit of history

The badminton sport is believed to have been invented around 1873 in England and named after the country estate, Badminton, of the Duke of Beaufort whose guests called it "the Badminton game." The Bath Badminton Club, organized in 1877, developed the first written rules and in 1893, the Badminton Association of England was founded as the first national governing body and the first All-England championship was held in 1899.
