Yesterday we ran workshops in Sebastian River high school with some students from Holy Trinity also - it was really good fun, thanks for being such great sports! John Halliday and I (DMack) ran a rather whimsical tour of lighting design; this let us retell all of our war-stories from past shows.
We've been pleasantly surprised by how well equipped theatres are here, in England there is not as much room and things are never as new! On other tours it is common to turn up, find that the sound, lighting and intercom are broken, and then run the show over two cellphones whilst soldering cables together in wild hope that they'll work for the upcoming cue..
Anyway lighting kids (for I am sure there are many), look forward to techie frolics and some questionably focussed lights!
