WARPLAY

The occupation of Palestine explored on stage

A group of activists, dramatists, and writers are planning to write and perform a multi-media play at the Playoom in November, exploring the occupation of Palestine. It will be an entirely original production based on eye-witness accounts, reportage, video-footage and discussion, and drawing upon the experiences of the Cambridge Students who were in Palestine over Easter.

Workshops

As part of the creative process we'll be holding a couple of days of workshops on the 10th and 11th July in Cambridge, and again in late September / October. Everyone is welcome – come and have a go at some improvisation, or even if you really don’t reckon you’re an actor (and you never know until you try…) come and join in with the discussions and idea-swapping. Coming to the workshops won’t mean committing to the whole project –we’re just really keen to get as many people as possible having a go and contributing their thoughts.

Get Involved

There should be loads of different ways to get involved with this project. We’ll need actors, producers, designers, technicians, etc, and basically would love to work with absolutely anyone who feels strongly about what's going on in Palestine and would like to attempt to consider the conflict in novel ways and bring the issues to a wider audience.

Please get in touch if you fancy taking part in any way, or if you have photos / contacts / articles / ideas that you think we might be interested in. It would be great to hear from you!
