General information

Introduction

CamLing is run under the auspices of the Cambridge Institute of Language Research, an organisation that aims to bring together research taking place in different departments and faculties at Cambridge and to provide a forum for interdisciplinary discussion. The postgraduate conference aims to reflect this purpose on a broader scale, reaching out to postgraduate students in a wider range of fields than is currently catered for at the postgraduate level, and bringing together the disparate threads of research in language. This interdisciplinary aspect will receive particular emphasis this year, as for the first time, CamLing will be collocated with Computational Linguistics UK (CLUK), with delegates able to attend sessions from both conferences, and with shared social events.

Supporters

CamLing gratefully acknowledges the support of the Cambridge Institute for Language Research, the Department of Linguistics, the Research Centre for English and Applied Linguistics, English Profile, Cambridge University Press, Abebooks and the British Association for Applied Linguistics".
