Week 6: Can We Show that Christianity is True?
Dearest brothers and sisters,
1. "Can We Show that Christianity is True?" Talk by Dr. Lee Wang Yen
2. JF Formal

1. "Can We Show that Christianity is True?" Talk by Dr. Lee Wang Yen
Christians believe that there is a God and Jesus is God incarnate who resurrected from the dead to save us from our sins. Do we have good reasons to think that these beliefs are true? Or should we accept them as merely articles of faith? Many Christians believe that the only way to maintain their religious faith in a scientific age is to hold radically different attitudes towards the truth-claims of religion and those of science – the latter can be accepted as (probably or approximately) true rationally whereas the former can only be accepted by a leap of faith. Are they right?
Dr Wang-Yen Lee is a PhD student in philosophy of science at the Department of History and Philosophy of Science, University of Cambridge, and will be explore this exciting subject with us this Wednesday. The talk will be conducted in English. Feel free to invite any of your friends to come along!
*** DINNER ***
Michelle's group will be cooking dinner this week. Anyone who can come to help with cooking and/or washing up, please let Michelle (hwmt2@cam.ac.uk) know and arrive at Henry Martyn Hall at 5:15pm.
PLEASE email jfdinner@yahoo.co.uk if
- you wish to invite any of your friends to join us for dinner (FREE dinner for newcomers!)
- you are NOT on the Lent term default list but would like to have dinner
- you are on the default list but cannot make dinner this week
- you are going to be late for dinner and wish to have dinner reserved for you
- you wish to add your name to the default list
Please kindly do the above so that we can prepare enough food for everybody.
Dinner starts 6:30pm, and those who did NOT email and arrive later than 6:45pm may NOT be guaranteed dinner.

2. JF Formal
Sorry about the series of notices with regard to the formal originally intend to be held last week. New arrangments are currently being made and there will be more details released at a further date once details are confirmed.
Please accept my most sincere apologies for the confusions, misunderstandings and inconveniences caused.
In Christ,
