International Students Welcome

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

How’s your summer vacation? Hope that you are refreshed and ready for a productive and enjoyable year ahead in Cambridge!

The Cambridge Christian Graduate Society (CGS) organizes an International Welcome Programme every year which aims to give a warm welcome to all new international students and offer them help in settling in. This year, the two main initiatives are: 1) Meeting Buses and Trains (23 Sept – 3 Oct), and 2) Visiting Students at their Colleges (23 Sept – 10 Oct).

I am sure that you all remember the days when you first arrived in Cambridge! It ‘s now a good chance to offer that help to our new friends, who may be just as lost as us one or two years ago! This will also be an excellent opportunity to tell them about Joshua Fellowship, the Chinese Church as well as foster new friendships.

Whether you are back in Cambridge early or not, please consider taking part in one or both of the initiatives. It won’t take up too much of your time, and in any case it will be time well spent!

Please let me know (by Friday 16 September) whether you would like to help, your availability and which of the two initiatives you are interested in taking part. I shall group all JF applications together and contact CGS accordingly.

I have also attached a flyer from the CGS which gives a more detailed description of the event. Do read it, and we would love to hear from you!!!

God Bless,

Benny Lo
