The Stop AIDS Campaign is an unprecedented initiative of the UK Consortium on AIDS and International Development, bringing together more than 70 of the UK’s leading development and HIV/AIDS groups. Launched on World AIDS Day 2001, the campaign works to raise awareness in the UK about global HIV/AIDS epidemic and to campaign for urgently scaled up international action.

Our current campaign is Access to Care and Treatment (the ACT now campaign). Read more or visit the website.

As part of this, we are calling for the creation of a patent pool for anti-retroviral drugs – the “Push for the Pool” campaign. Read more here.

We are also calling for the UK government to pledge its fair share of the funding shortfall for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria. Read more here.

Make AIDS History is a recent international campaign launched by organisations across the globe, including the Stop AIDS Campaign, to put AIDS, and particularly the issue of funding access to treatment, on the agenda for the G8 summit and other important international meetings this year.
